Introducing animal lover and self confessed shopaholic Beth...

Beth Chudley

Tell me a little about yourself?

So I’m a lifestyle blogger and Instagrammer in my spare time, but I’m actually a graphic designer in my day job. I find these both feed into each other – I like my blog to reflect my design style and change it regularly to update it.

I’d describe my style as being pretty relaxed – jeans and a T-shirt is usually my go-to day to day – but I do like to play dress-up and wear things that make me feel great!

I have 2 ginger cats who are twins - I’m a massive animal lover and supporter of animal rights, which largely affects my beauty purchase decisions. I’m also a vegetarian.

How do you currently shop?

I do a lot of my shopping online, however for things like jeans and trousers I like to be able to go and try them on – being 5ft and having an awkward hip-waist ratio means I usually need to go through about 5 pairs before I find any that fit! Topshop Petite is a favourite of mine for bottoms, but I also get a lot of bits from Primark – if you know what you’re looking for, they have some really great bits at a fraction of the price!

What are your thoughts about pineapple on pizza?

A big fat YES, much to my boyfriend’s disgust!

How would you describe your dream lifestyle?

I always say I’d love to be one of those ‘ladies who lunch’, but I know realistically I’d get so bored being at home all day! So I’d say I’d like to be able to work from home a few days a week on graphic design, and ideally be able to dedicate the rest of my time to blogging and photography, something I’d love to have more time to dedicate to at the moment.

Oh, and maybe throw in a bit of time for some interior design on the side too – I really loved it at college and if I hadn’t studied graphics that would have been my second choice!

Would you rather look after 1 horse sized duck OR 100 duck sized horses?

Ooh, tricky one! I think 1 horse sized duck – I’ve tried looking after both horses and ducks and 100 of either is definitely too many to handle!

From what you know about Impulse, what are you looking forward to most?

I love the idea of being able to find new brands from around the world easily in one place, especially for homewares – I’m moving out soon and it’ll be a great place to find bits and pieces to decorate!

Can you recommend who we interview next?

I’d definitely recommend @chloeplumstead – she has great fashion taste and I also love what she’s been able to do with her rental flat. Her posts have given me so many ideas for my own place!

That was the lovely Beth.

Thanks so much for taking part Beth. Such a shame you like pineapple on your pizza, but I guess we all have our failings (joking!) I'm looking forward to seeing you get stuck into our Homewares category when Impulse launches and collecting some little ideas and dreams for your new place.

For those interested, we are running this brand new interview series to get to know as many as our sign ups as possible. If you'd also like the chance to take part, showcase your personality, and forever get a pretty spot on the blog, drop me an email - jamie@weareimpulse.co - and we'll get it done.
